Party time
Police arrest 17 in big hill party
SUNNYSIDE (Sunday, 4-11-99)--The 3.a.m. party at 1204 Grandview Ave. was a biggie all right--by the time police were finished, they bagged six juveniles and 11 adults for a variety of crimes.

Most were arrested for alcohol possession and consumption, while some were taken in for furnishing alcohol for underage party goers. Some were rapped for false reporting, obstructing police officers and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officer Chico Rodriguez said Officers received complaints about a party "with people being loud in the area and traffic coming and going."

When police arrived, offenders reportedly ran into the residence, locked the door behind them and turned out the lights.

The "responsible party" at the home used profanity and obscene gestures while refusing to let officers into the house, Rodriguez said. County records indicate the home is owned by Gloria P. Franco.

Police got a search warrant and obtained entry into the home, police said. When they got inside, they found a keg of beer and drug paraphernalia. They made the 17 arrests at the scene.

Juveniles were released to their parents or guardian. Adults with failure-to-appears in their court records were detained. Others were cited and released, Rodriguez said.

Takes hit within 20 hours of VV heist

TW market hit by robbers
SUNNYSIDE (Wednesday, 4-1-99)---Two ski-masked thugs entered the TW Market, 1143 E. Tacoma Ave., at 10:15 p.m. today, brandished a gun and threatened the clerk (sound familiar?).

The clerk was able to make her way into a storage room, locking thugs outside the door. Robbers then opened the cash register and fled the store with an undetermined amount of money. No injuries were reported.

Police said the store employee "eventually" called 911 after suspects left the store.

Det. Kent Coffman said the TW robbery isn't to be confused with the Valley View robbery around 20 hours earlier. "It's undetermined if the two incidents are related," Coffman said. No arrests have been made; the investigation is ongoing.

An educated guess is the STM Market would be next in line for rape-and-pillage ceremonies. Since most punks can't read and don't know the internet from a hair net, YVN will prophecy publicly.
VV also robbed last spring
Two thugs rob Valley View
SUNNYSIDE (Wednesday, 4-1-99)---Two masked thugs entered the Valley View Market, 107 W. Lincoln Ave., at 2:45 a.m. today, brandished a gun and threatened the clerk.

Witnessed told police one Caucasian male and one Hispanic male, ages undetermined, hit the store.

Suspects left on foot after the heist with an unknown amount of cash.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is continuing, police said.

Valley View was hit by robbers last May 18 as well.

The Valley View is a straight shot from the freeway. Folks just cruise in and make their hit. They're out of town and down the interstate in no time. Since we're in the robbery season, the VV might be a good place to set a very dangerous trap for the next set of thugs. They will arrive within the next year.
