Asks citizens to show up and participate
Lets's discuss property protection codes in the Feb. 8 workshop meeting
By Chad Werkhoven, Sunnyside City Councilman

At the last City Council meeting, I asked for an agenda item for the Feb. 1 meeting to discuss the Property Protection Codes that I am proposing.

The presentation that I would like to make is more appropriate for a workshop than a regular council meeting, so I have asked that the agenda item be moved to the Feb. 8 workshop meeting.

It is my hope to have as many citizens possible participate in the meetings that we have to discuss this important topic.  If you could anounce the schedule change in your publication, I would really appreciate it.

I have been very encouraged by the amount of support people have given me since the council made the decision to fund this position.  Our citizens have made it very clear that this is the direction that Sunnyside should be moving.  However, it is very important that everyone know and understand exactly what these Property Protection Codes are (and what they are not) so that we get as much community cooperation as possible.

I will be e-mailing you a "press kit" before each meeting to give you a preview as to what will be discussed.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.  I can be reached the following ways:

Thanks-
