- Karaoke coming to the Eagles
- SUNNYSIDE--The Sunnyside Eagles will feature Karaoke on its growing menu of fun things to do beginning at 7 p.m. Nov. 20.
- Equipment will be operated by Karaoke veteran and Funny Farm star Rita Bromley, who took off with Karaoke in Oregon 10 years ago. Rita is a singer, so she knows it's important to get the right key for the person who
- gets up and entertains a crowd.
- "If you know what you want to sing, we can change key right on the bandstand to make it just right for you," Rita said. "It's wrapped up! You'll love it!"
- Karaoke fans are invited to come to the Eagles Hall on Midvale right across from Bi-Mart, and have a blast.
- To enjoy the festivities, all anyone has to do is grab an Eagle and come on down. Those who come for fun don't have to be members.
- But it's always handy if you're alone some night and just want to stop in for a little fun with good people. You can do it anywhere in the Valley, or even if you're a thousand miles from home!
- Membership costs only $25 a year for men, $15 for women and $40 a couple. Eagles are among the greatest people anywhere.
- Everyone is welcome to participate. Eagles provide caretaker service for the more uptight, straight-laced, 20-to-40 crowd. Caretakers include little kids and oldsters, all of whom just pull out the stops and have a natural blast. Things really get hopping during jam sessions one Sunday a month.
- On Karaoke night, everyone can sing. Adults can enjoy drinks, and the kids can drink pop. What's important is that all ages can be together and have fun together.
The Eagles serves great meals almost every Friday night. Saturday night dances features a top western band, Country Standard Time.
