Staff shift at S'side DSHS

SUNNYSIDE (8 -19-98)--Janice Gonzalez, Zillah, has replaced Maria Vigil as director of the local DSHS community services component, according to staff.

Vigil, who has directed community services for decades, reportedly has moved to the DSHS regional office in Yakima within the past two weeks.

Gonzales apparently is a newcomer to DSHS. Government staff say she has acted as director for the Yakima regional office of the Employment Security Dept.the past 25 years. DSHS and ES are quite separate agencies within state government.

Gonzales' husband, David Gonzales, is a program manager for the Yakima County Private Industry Council.
